Noah and I had a big date this afternoon to see Go, Dog. Go! at the Northwest Childrens Theater.  My neighbor had told me about this a few months ago and with this being one of Noah's all time favorite books I snatched up tickets immediately!  I was a little nervous about how he would behave sitting in one spot like that for an hour and a half but he was amazing and LOVED it!  They truly cater to kids and made the play really interactive with the crowd!  He even wanted to get autographs from the dogs after the show and told them all that his favorite part was the gigantic balloon hat.  We will definitely have to do this again, actually, as we were waiting to be seated I noticed that Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is going to be there in October and I can't wait for that!  Noah is obsessed with that book, we read it at least three or four times a day and I know he will love it!  We finished our afternoon off with a trip to the ice cream store and Freddy's, two of Noah's favorite places!
I wanted a picture of him looking at me by the sign
but he just wanted to look at the picture, oh well!

Having an intermission snack!
(all the pics are from my phone, not the best quality)

Very serious about his ice cream!

Nice lips!!!

Good thing I brought a pack of wipes for this stop!

Another good one!

Today's breakfast conversation -

Noah: Hey mom, Silas is way too big for his crib now and needs a big boy bed.  So we need to go get me a bunk bed today.
Me: Really, today???
Noah: Yes, and when Silas gets bigger and bigger he will sleep in my bunk bed with me.
Me: What are we going to do with Silas's room if he sleeps in your room?
Noah: (looking at me like I am an idiot) That is where our sister will sleep, we will get her a teeny tiny little bed just her size and she is never to need a big bed, we will get her bunk beds too when she gets bigger and bigger.  Then mommy and daddy can sleep on her bunk beds and we can all go to bed at the same time!

Sister???

Breakfast conversation today -

Noah: Hey mom, when are you guys going to get our sister because Silas wants a sister and I really want a sister too??
Me: Huh???  (very confused look on my face)
Noah: A little teeny tiny one!!! (very excited look on his face)
Me:  Like a baby??? (still very confused look on my face)
Noah: Yes, you and daddy can go to the sister store tonight to pick one out because you are the parents!
Me: Really, the sister store? (getting more confused by the second)
Noah: Actually, I am a grown up too so I will go with you.  I will just point and you and daddy can pay...

Apparently this is how sisters come along in three year old land!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Noah has been learning all kinds of stuff about St. Patrick's Day this week at school and is currently a wealth of knowledge on things like leprechauns, pinching (apparently a few friends at school forgot to wear green), shamrocks and pots of gold!  When I picked him up from school today he had a backpack full of all kinds of St Patrick's Day treasures including a gold chocolate coin (very big deal)!
I tried to get some pics of Silas but he is super sick right now (again).  The poor little man has pneumonia/bronchitis and is not really feeling up to a lot of St. Patrick's Day fun...
Showing off his leprechaun hat!

So excited to eat his chocolate!
His teacher told him he had to wait until he got
home to eat it.  He carried it all the way through
Freddy's while I picked up a few things and never
once asked if he could eat it until we walked in the door!

Explaining his shaker!

His St. Patrick's Pokey shaker!
He informed me that it is full of popcorn and that
we should not take it apart because it will spill all over.

St Patrick's Pokey!
Guess what we'll be doing all afternoon!!!

Splash

I have completely given up on keeping any kind of order or anything dry for that matter during bath time... The boys have so much fun in the tub that I just can't seem to break up the party.  They would seriously splash and giggle in the tub for hours if we would let them.  It makes me so excited for summer when we can let them loose in the pool in the back yard!  Here are a couple pictures from tub time last night.  Their new thing is "floating" and it is so cute, they just lay there until one of them moves a little then they go crazy splashing and laughing, it is like a who can hold still the longest game!

Racetrack

Noah: Hey Momma, why are you driving so slow?
Me: Because we just pulled into the neighborhood.
Noah: That's good, because this is a neighborhood NOT a racetrack!
Me: Where did you hear that?
Noah: I just know that!

Smart kid!!!

New School

We recently made the somewhat difficult choice to put Noah in a new school.  The school where he had been going since April of last year was actually more of a day care center and he was one of the only kids just coming for a few hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, all the other kids were there together all day long.  The teachers at his old school were amazing and he made so much progress while he was there but I still felt like he was missing out on the comradery of being part of a "classroom" if that makes sense.  His new school is an actual preschool where all the kids come and go at the same time and they offer pre-k and kindergarten.  We are still undecided on what we are going to do about the school situation when he gets into elementary school but it is nice knowing that he can stay here at this school until he starts 1st grade.  With his birthday being where it is he is going to be a super late starter and we are definitely going to need the pre-k class to keep him moving along until he starts kindergarten.
Noah has done amazing with the transition!  We made several trips to the new school before he started and talked about his new teachers around the house a lot so he was familiar with their names and the fact that he was going to have new teachers.  On his first day he put on his new backpack (he was seriously excited about the backpack) and marched right into his classroom!  His new teachers came over to say hello and he asked me if I was going to leave, I said yes and he said OK, took Teacher Janelle's hand and went to check out his new classroom!!!  Hooray!!!
Ready for his first day!
We finally talked him into getting a hair cut before his first day.  For
some reason he refused a haircut for almost three months and kept
telling us he wanted to have a pony tail...
Not sure where that came from!
Checking out his backpack!
Loves his backpack!
He picked this one out himself.  I showed him about 20 different
backpack options and he only wanted the blue one.
I still can't believe he chose it over Lightning McQueen and Spiderman!!
So cute!!!

Classic Silas

Silas is the inevitable dirty kid...  No matter how often I give him a bath or wipe the kid off he is always dirty!  It is such a change from Noah who always wants his nose wiped or his clothes clean, Silas just does not care.   We have given Silas the nickname "Tiny Tornado" because not only is he always dirty he seems to leave a path of destruction everywhere he goes.  No joke, this kid can trash a room in the 37.5 seconds it takes me to pee and wash my hands...  Just as en example, today I went down to move some clothes from the washer to the dryer (leaving Silas quietly playing cars in his bedroom).  After a minute I started hearing noises from above my head (master bathroom) I stopped everything I was doing and sprinted upstairs, by the time I got up there he had already emptied an entire box of  Kleenex into the toilet and was stirring it with my curling iron flinging water in every direction.  Are you kidding me?????
Trouble...

Although it is pretty tough to get upset with a face like this!!!

Too cool for school...

It may be gloomy, raining, cold and possibly snowing out but we still have to wear our sunglasses for breakfast!!!

You talkin about me???
