Happy Valentines Day

I am finally almost caught up on here!!!
Here are a few pictures from our Valentines Day!  The boys started the day with some heart shaped Krispy Kreme donuts (kind of a tradition around here) and we had a fun playdate with Aiden, Kenzie and baby Ellie!  Heart shaped pizza for dinner followed by a piece of Valentine candy or two, all in all super fun & healthy day around these parts :)
Yummy!!!
Good morning sunshine!
I love his new "cheese" face!
Our Baby Sweets & his awesome hair!
Opening some Valentines from Mommy & Daddy,
Mayme & Boppa, and Nonnie & Papa!
Candy from Daddy!
There are just so many to choose from...
A new Automoblox car!!
Thanks for all the Valentines!!!
Noah had his Valentine party at school on the 15th since he does not
have school on Tuesdays.  He came home and dumped all of his
treasures and cards at the top of the stairs to check them all out!
He then chose which treats he wanted to keep and gave a few to Silas :)
He has been sleeping with all his Valentines on his shelf next to his bed
ever since!  I think there are even a couple lollipops left in the bag
that he has forgotten about...  Don't really have to worry with Noah,
Silas, on the other hand,  would have eaten them within minutes!

The Oregon Trail

At the beginning of the month Noah's class started out on the Oregon Trail for two whole weeks!!!  He learned all kinds of interesting stuff, made his very own wagon complete with little people, a pottery bowl and a wind up toy (I don't know what the actual name is).   One whole wall in their classroom was a giant map of the Oregon Trail and they moved along the trail every day!
During this time we were driving over to visit my grandparents and for some reason I took Hwy 205 (I never take 205) and saw the sign for the end of the Oregon trail.  Jackpot!  I totally remember seeing the big white wagons from when I was little but had never been there.  We made a quick detour to check out the little museum.  Noah was so excited to see and hold some of the "real things" from the pioneers!  They had a little wagon in the corner that the kids could load with supplies and tables of all the wooden toys and games that the kids played along the trail!  I was just excited that the boys were on their best behavior!
Noah's wagon, bowl and pioneers!
All I had to do was tell Noah that we were going to
take a picture to show Teacher Lindsey and all the
sudden he was all about posing :)
Running up to the museum!  Apparently the giant
white tarps that were originally on the covered
wagons blew off years ago and there is no budget
to replace them.  I had always envisioned little
wagons from when I used to drive by when I was little
but these things are HUGE!  I can see why it
might break the bank to try and recover them...
Each step had the name of a stop along the trail and Noah
was excited to see Chimney Rock since he had just colored
his Chimney Rock picture the day before!
Checking out all the toys and games inside!  This is just like
the paper wind up toy that he made in class!
We completed our visit with some candy sticks, just
like the pioneers used to have...
(they totally had tutti frutti right :)

Wild Boys (part 2)

In addition to running around with their shirts pulled over their heads the boys LOVE a good dance party!  We have a couple of the Just Dance games for the Wii and they go crazy when we play.  99% of the time I am the only one actually following the moves on the screen (the game is a surprisingly good workout) and they just run around and dance like maniacs all over the house!  Their favorite songs from the game include - Funkytown, Here comes the Hotstepper, The Monster Mash, and anything by Rihanna or Katy Perry...  Gotta add that I am pretty awesome at all of those routines due to the fact that I have probably done them a hundred times :)  I need to try and get them on video one of thees days but here is a refresher of Noah's dance moves from Jordan's wedding, makes me laugh every time I watch it!!
One of their favorite dance moves involves dancing on the couch
while jumping back and fourth onto the ottoman...  We gave up on the
no jumping on the furniture rule a long time ago,
yes we are total pushovers.
Noah busting out some break dance moves!
Taking a little break!
Silas trying to replicate Noah's sweet moves!

Boom Box

Noah loves a good project, especially anything that he can glue or put together.  I found a little gear hole puncher on the Stampin Up clearance site a couple months ago and had punched a bunch of paper gears for Noah to craft with.  He got the idea that he wanted to make a boom box with lots of gears inside - here is his result!

Hibernation Day

Back in January Noah had pajama day at school.  It was a very big day for him, he got to wear his pajamas (which he picked out about two weeks in advance) and bring a snuggle (George) to class, he was  the snack friend and they had class (aka hibernated) inside a giant "cave" that his teachers made in the classroom, so super cool!  They had learned all about how animals hibernate for winter so they got to have their own day of hibernation!
Pajama day is finally here!!!
Every morning for about two weeks before
the actual day Noah would wake up and ask is
today pajama day???
So seriously excited!
He did not even know about the cave yet or that they were going
to make popcorn or any of the other cool stuff happening at school!
Noah's book all about hibernation!
His blue hibernating bear!

Wild Boys

The other night (OK maybe like a month ago) we got these hilarious pics of the boys running around with crazy shirt heads.  I love it when the most random thing ever makes them giggle for hours!
Running up and down the hallway -
totally safe with a shirt over your eyes...
Can't believe how big they are getting!

Family Christmas

Here are a couple random pictures from the Simonatti family Christmas and my parents Christmas party.  We had a huge Christmas Fiesta for Christmas this year, gotta love it when the Italian fam decides to eat Mexican food instead of our usual lasagna, pasta etc. for dinner...  Yummy!!!
The boys sharing a chair at my parents party!  They
sat here together for a surprisingly long time :)

Christmas Day

Christmas Day started with a bang (of the drum) around these parts...  Seriously, what was Santa thinking????
"Silas, they are REAL drums!"
"Look Silas, two sticks, one for you one for me!"
Such a sweet little man :)
Dear Santa,
You could have just gotten Noah this
Handy Manny Motorcycle and nothing else and
he would have been just as happy...
(note for next year)
The super cool Lego motorcycle from Daddy!
Think he's excited???
The aftermath...
Looks like Christmas puked in our living room.
Such a rock star!
"I see you"
He wanted goggles because he likes to pretend they
are a range finder like what Ryan uses on the golf course!
Cheese!
I feel like there were hardly any pics of Silas on Christmas
morning because the kid never held still long enough to take any!
After all the Christmas morning fiasco was done and somewhat cleaned up.  We headed down to Eugene for the evening to have Christmas with Nonnie & Papa and the fam.  I did not take a lot of pictures but here are a few cute ones!
When we got there Papa was asleep in the chair.  Silas climbed right
up for a snuggle and was trying to cover them in with his gu.
Pretty cute!
Noah had packed all his "special" presents into this bag to bring down
to Nonnie & Papa's to show everyone.  He packed that bag around for
a couple weeks after Christmas with his treasures!
Digging around under the tree.  It is funny
because Noah recognizes his name now and
could see what gifts were for him.  It totally
brought me back to the days of  Dustin and I
rummaging around under the tree
looking for our names on gifts...
Oh wait, we still do that :)
