All I want for Christmas...

The boys and I did some serious yard work this afternoon before naps making a pretty big mess in the backyard.

Me - We are going to have to finish cleaning this up after naps today.
Noah - I think Santa is going to come clean it up for us.  (I don't know where Santa came from :)
Me - Really???  What are you going to ask Santa to bring you for Christmas?
Noah - Maybe a mail box and a gas pump.
Me - That is what Santa brought you last year, is there anything new or different you want to ask him for?
Noah - (long pause for thinking with a lot of hmmmming)  My own couch, and probably a house for outside and a green water bottle...

List noted!!!

36 Months

It is so hard to believe that my little Booga Noah is now 3!!  He is the sweetest little boy any momma could ever ask for and this post is all about Noah at 3!!
Possibly the cutest picture ever!
I love that he totally ripped the flower right out of the ground :)
36 lb. 2 oz. - 39 1/4 " tall

Noah sleeps 8-9 hours per night and still takes a 2 hour nap most days :)

Potty Training - Bad subject...

Favorite Movies - Cars, Wall-E, Bee Movie (big surprise)

Favorite Shows - Handy Manny, Thomas, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (he really wants to go to Disneyland, we have a pretend vacation there almost every day, complete with an airplane ride and everything)!

Favorite Books - Too many to list but he is really into these Sesame Street books that I got in the Target dollar bin a while ago.

Favorite Foods - Grapes, macaroni & cheese, cashews, any kind of cookie or cupcake :) protein shakes (smoothies) with daddy, blueberries, carrots, pizza and he still loves beans.

Favorite Pastimes - He is totally into jigsaw puzzles and can now do some that are 24 pieces!  He and Silas spend hours playing in their parking garage, road mat and kitchen.  Noah is also really into playing video games with daddy, Mario, Dirt and anything on the Wii.  He loves helping us out in the yard and wants every day to be Saturday so he can mow and weed wack! He wants to ride his bike and run every chance he gets.  Our culdesac has a large pavement circle around it and this is Noah's race track where he goes "VERY FAST" :)  I don't know what we are going to do when the rainy weather starts...

Classes - Noah is still going to school on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for 3.5 hours.  He has had a bit of a rough patch lately.  When he turned three he had to move from the toddler classroom to the preschool classroom and has had a tough time adjusting.  The classroom is a lot bigger with more kids and a new teacher.  He was totally in love with Teacher Sasha and is really missing her and his friends in the old class room.  Luckily there have been no tears and I have not had to fight him on going, each day is getting better and I know he will grow to love this class and Teacher Amber just as much as the toddler class!  Noah also has pre-gymnastics and swimming on Mondays (busy day) and this has been an adjustment for him too.  Now that he is three the classes are no longer parent participation so he has to go alone.   He is doing awesome at swim class but gymnastics might take a little longer...

Such a big boy now!!!

Those Silly Squirrels...

While watching a squirrel dig around the back yard during dinner tonight -

Noah - What is that silly squirrel doing?
Me - I don't know what do you think he is doing?
Noah - He is probably looking for his toaster.  Where did momma get her toaster at?
Me - Macy's, where do squirrels get their toasters?
Noah - At Macy's.
Me - What do Squirrels use their toasters for?
Noah - Probably for waffles and toast!

LOVE IT!!!!

Date Night

I hardly ever get to hang with just Noah these days so for his birthday I decided to take him out on a date!!  He really wanted to go to Red Robin for his birthday and Silas happened to have his first swim lesson that night so Noah and I headed out for our birthday date while Ryan took Silas to swim class! I was so hoping that with just the two of us Noah would behave and we could have a nice dinner together, and he was great, for the first 20 minutes...  As usual right about the time our food came Noah was done sitting still and was ready play!  Oh well, we had lots of good conversation about lawn mowers, Dave Matthews, fans and Daddy's car (always a favorite topic)!  I wolfed down my burger at a world record pace and flagged down our waitress for the check ASAP!  Noah had really wanted them to sing to him but when he found out they could not bring out a candle he wanted no part of it, not even for the ice cream!!  Here are a couple pre-date pictures of me and my little man!

Cupcake Party

Noah asked for two things for his birthday - cleaning supplies and cupcakes...

So instead of inviting all his friends over to clean our house we decided to have a cupcake decorating party!!  Wow, let me just say six dozen cupcakes with lots of sugary frosting and toppings before lunch with 16 kids is a recipe for a lot of fun, a few messes and possibly a melt down or two!!!  Noah has been so excited for his birthday and cupcake party he could hardly contain himself for the past week!  He had so much fun and is now upstairs sleeping it off :)

Noah made this sign for his party!  I scoured every magazine and
cookbook I had to find enough cupcake pictures!

So many cupcakes!

We did the decorating in shifts!

I just had to post this one, Kylie put her sprinkles
on so carefully one at a time, so cute!

Happy Birthday to Noah!!

Lots of help!!

Best Buds

The boys have been playing together more and more every day and I could not be more excited.  Noah is continuously asking Silas to do whatever he is doing and Silas just follows him around like a little puppy!  They even want to sit together which is just too cute not to take a picture every time!
Riding in Noah's "boat" together!

Noah being such a good big brother letting Silas
drive his train on his head!

Having a snack while watching Cars!

Having snacks at Nonnie & Papa's!
Sorry about all the crumbs that are probably in your chair Papa...

Noah's Room

Here are a couple pictures of Noah's bedroom all painted and decorated (took me long enough to get his room finished :)  There are still a couple things I want to do but overall it is about done!  He was pretty excited about having his room blue and loves all the cars and stuff on the walls.  There is really no theme, all of the framed pictures are of things that Noah has made or things that he loves (Cookie Monster, his Cozy Coupe etc.)

Noah's funnies for the week...

"I need to use my place mat because the sun is out and it is getting hot out."

While pulling out the Fred Meyer parking lot - "We forgot to go check out Freddy's back yard today" - meaning we did not swing by the garden department for once...

"I say "sure" because I am a big boy, Silas says "yes" because he is just a baby."

"I've just been thinking about cupcakes and thats about it!"

"My birthday is September 8th, I am probably going to be a grown up and can drive Momma's car and Daddy's car!"

Happy Birthday Aiden!!!

It has been non-stop birthday parties for the past couple weeks and we still have a few more to go!  Noah is getting more and more excited for his big day with each passing party!  Today we went to his buddy Aiden's party at Pump It Up Jr. and the boys went bananas!  I think I might have had just as much fun as they did!!  I am also thinking we might become regulars there this winter when the rain starts, it is such a great place to let them run wild and burn off some energy!
I just love the look on his face here!

Silas trying to keep up with the big kids...

Noah and Aiden racing down the big slide!

Lunch time!

Noah kept leaning over like he was going to blow the candles out himself!

Is it just me or do we seem to have a picture of Noah with cake on his
face from every event he goes to...

Choo Choo Trains

Silas is obsessed with Thomas or I should say trains in general right now.  Everywhere we go Silas is usually  packing a train or two!  When we are in the grocery store I have to hold my arms out straight while pushing the cart so he can drive the train up and down my arms the entire time.  He makes loud engine noises and says "choo choo train" while pushing them around.  I found a show on demand that is a half hour of trains and nothing else, no talking, no commercials, just trains.  Now Silas keeps walking by and pointing at the TV saying "choo choo train" its pretty cute!
A little macaroni for Thomas too!

Love that smile!
