Snow Day

Surprise, the weather man was actually right and we got a little snow this morning!!  The boys were so excited to get out and play but by the time we actually made it out a lot of the snow was already gone :(  I don't think I could handle living somewhere that requires snow gear all the time, what a pain, it would take us hours to get out of the house every day!
Ready to sled down the driveway!  It makes the most perfect
little sledding hill!

Taking a ride on the big sled!

Silas was pretty serious about all of it.  I don't think
he is too sure if he likes the white stuff or not...

The snow needs to get mowed too!

By the time we went inside almost all the
snow had melted from the front yard but Silas
liked that even better because there were
huge puddles everywhere!
Good stompin!!!!

Portraits

We thought it would be fun to get Ryan's parents a picture with all the grandkids together for Christmas, possibly biting off a little more than we could chew on this one...  I know I am a little late on this post but I just have to share some of these pictures because they make me laugh pretty hard every time I look at them!  We went to a little portrait studio in Tanasbourne which was not the best idea considering it was a week before Christmas and everyone else had the same idea.  Fortunately we were able to get one good shot (out of about 100) of all the kids together, some good individual pictures and some priceless outtakes!!!

The Keepers!
Love this picture!

One of the only ones with him smiling!

Loves his trains!

This is the only one of all the kids
together that turned out!

The Outtakes!!
All I can think is "mug shot"

Breaking out his signature "stink eye"

Ariel was such a good sport!

Silas making his escape!

I don't even know what to say...

We picked the worst shirt possible for Silas and
his drooling issues at the time...

The "stink eye" making another appearance!
So much for a cute pic of the two boys together...

New Toy

So Ryan came home with an iPad for "work" last week and I am pretty sure that between him and the two boys we are going to have some serious knock down drag out fights over it...  We have not purchased any fun apps for the kids yet but will probably have get on that soon.  I need to go online to check some out, there are so many to pick from and I want to find some good ones.
Any suggestions???
A moment of sharing!
Although it was most likely short lived...

Happy Valentines Day!

It is amazing how much more fun holidays are when there are kids involved!!!  I love the fact that Noah gets so excited for every special event or holiday that goes on around here and when he gets excited Silas gets excited and it makes for some super fun times!!  They were both seriously bouncing off the walls all day long waiting for Daddy to get home, then for their special Valentine pizza dinner (Noah's choice), then ice cream cake and presents, so much fun!!!!  We even made a special trip to surprise Daddy at work today with a homemade card and some treats for everyone in the office!  Happy Heart Day everyone!!!
The Valentine the boys made for Daddy's office!
The poster size Valentine the boys made for Daddy at home!

Noah loves all his Cars stuff!  Thanks Nonnie & Papa!

Guitar Hero

Noah is totally into music these days!  We have a non-stop dance party going on around here all day long.  His favorites right now are Rihanna, The Black Eyed Peas, David Gray, Far East Movement & B.o.B.
They had a music lesson at school a couple weeks ago and one of the teachers brought in her guitar to play for the kids, ever since Noah has been really wanting to play a guitar.   He told us that he wants a red guitar and a green guitar for his birthday and he really wants one for the Wii too (don't know where that came from)...  When we asked him why he wants two guitars he said that one is for him and the other is for Silas so they can play music together, such a sweet little man!!!
Noah's cousin Ariel brought her Hannah Montana guitar over for him to play while we watched the Super Bowl on Sunday!  Noah was just a tad bit excited to play some songs for us and did not seem to mind the hot pinkness of the guitar!!!

Goggle Vision

We decided to make Saturday night a family fun night out, first one in a while!  We started by taking the boys to open swim at Children of the Sea for some serious play time in the pool and then went to Baskin Robbins for a special treat afterwards!   Anyway, Silas found Ryan's swim goggles in our pool bag and has decided to make them part of his daily attire and if little brother has his goggles on than Noah definitely needs to wear his too (of course :) All I can say is awesome!!!

Having a goggle pow wow!!!

Watching Cars with his "glasses"

Yep, we even wear them at the table occasionally!!!
We had cupcakes for our Super Bowl party, we can't
have any type of gathering without them!!!

The coolest pillow ever...

Lately I have found Noah sleeping in the craziest positions with the craziest things.  I really wish I would have started taking pictures sooner!  Here he is using his puzzle rack with Lightning McQueen as his pillow/cup holder.  The other night I came in to find him curled up in a ball on his little green disc sled (no idea why it was in his room) wrapped in his blankets with his shirt off and the day before that I came in to find him using his hamper lid as a pillow with all of his blankets shoved into the hamper next to him on his bed...

Bunk Beds

Silas's big boy bed adventure did not work out so well and he is now back in his crib with the rails on... However, this has not stopped Noah's bunk bed obsession!  The poor kid is desperate for a bunk bed but is going to have to wait a little longer until Silas is ready to move out of his crib... He turns everything that potentially has two levels into a bunk bed.  The stairs, the end table, his shelves etc.  We were playing Lego's the other day and this was Noah's bunk bed creation! I am pretty impressed with his creativity and imagination!
The green piece on the top is the tent and the
stack of fences is the ladder!

The tent turned into the third level like in his monkey book!

Sword Fight

On Wii Resort there is a jousting game that Noah is totally into.  I love to watch him play because he giggles the entire time and can beat Ryan and I at it most of the time...  This video is of him playing it but the last 10 seconds are priceless!!  All I can say is classic Silas!!!
