Now...
and then...
Noah's first trip to the beach June 2008!!

Day at the Beach!

Noah has been asking for months to go to the beach and since we neglected to take the boys all summer we figured last weekend was probably our last shot at some nice weather at the coast!
Love this one!!!
"Sand in my mouth"
The sand tunnel.  It only lasted a few minutes with these wild boys...
The sand wedgie :)
So dirty but having so much fun!
Silas's GQ picture...
Turning the tunnel into a bathtub?!?!?!

A nice girl walking by offered to take a family picture of us and here
is what we got :)  Classic!
So happy to finally be at the beach!
(a little sad  and embarrassed to say this is the
first time Noah has been to the ocean since
he was six months old and Silas's first time ever)
Why not?!?!?!

First day of Kindergym & loving it!!!

School Projects

Silas's painting of a fountain!

Four for Four

Oops, I forgot to add this one -

Noah also got to celebrate his birthday the first week of school!  I know a lot of people don't like their kids to have sweets at school but I love that Noah's school encourages the kids to celebrate their birthdays and lets them bring special treats on their birthday like cookies or cupcakes or whatever they want (we did bring some string cheese to offset the cupcake sugar rush)!  I think Noah was pretty excited about the snacks that first week of school because they celebrated all the summer birthdays and were having cookies and cupcakes every day!  He got to wear his special birthday hat, they sang happy birthday and he got to bring a special toy from home to share with the class.  He chose to bring his golf ball retriever...  Apparently the kids were fascinated by it.  He answered all of his classmates questions about it and even brought one of his favorite blue golf balls to show them how it works!

Noah's Birthday (part 3)

Yes there was a third birthday celebration for Noah's big #4, the parties just kept going and going!!! With all the wedding commotion leading up to the weekend of Noah's birthday there was not much time to celebrate with family so we hosted a small BBQ at my parents house the day after the wedding.  In hindsight it was probably not the best idea considering how we were all feeling that morning but we still managed to have a great day!  Noah wanted to stick with the robot theme for this party too but settled for robot cupcakes instead of another giant robot cake (thank goodness :)
There is that #4 candle again!!
His new dog Fluffy helping him open his gifts!
Thanks for the new dog Uncle Jordan & Aunt Kassie!!
Mya & Silas chillin on the back porch, so cute!
Noah and Victoria!
So sweet!!
The super cool picture Nonnie drew for Noah's robot room!

Rocket Ship

Noah is always talking about rocket ships and going into space lately.  These pics are actually from his birthday but I had to share!  He had turned one of our chairs on its side to create his rocket ship in the corner and was using his Handy Manny laptop as his control panel and steering wheel to fly his ship into space!
Ready for blastoff!
Driving to Mars...

Noah's Birthday (Part 2)

Since Noah's Pump it Up party was a week before his actual birthday we wanted to have a little birthday celebration on his actual birthday too!  He chose chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner and then we took the boys to Baskin Robbins for an ice cream treat!  When I was younger it was always a big deal to get the clown cones at Baskin Robbins for special occasions but we discovered pretty quick that they are really not a great idea for a 2 & 4 year old.  Oh well, the boys thought they were pretty cool even if almost every surface around us was covered in blue frosting and dripping ice cream...  (in all the ice cream madness we totally forgot to take a picture)
Super cool robot puzzle!  He LOVES it!
A new robot clock for his robot room!
Helping Daddy put his Lightning McQueen scooter together!
I love Silas's faces in the background of all the pictures!
Classic little brother sitting there saying "where is mine" and
"I want one of those too" :)
He had to blow the candle out four times since he is four...

The rest of them...

And then there are these pictures...
Trouble...
Me & my Momma & the mysterious hand...
(Sorry Papa, I figured you would appreciate my crop job here :)
Trouble part 2...
We actually got lots of pictures together this time!
I don't even know what to say...
I might be in trouble for posting this one but it
makes me laugh every time I look at it!
(Sorry Ryan)
For some reason (very late into the evening or early in the morning, I can't really remember) I felt the need to take a self portrait with whoever I could get my hands on.  The rest of these pictures are the result of my self portrait mission!  Probably not the best idea and I am not posting very many of them but they are quite entertaining :)
Uh oh...
Little scary...
Oh wait, I got one with Ryan the DJ -
and didn't leave out the bartender!
Not good...
The backyard at 2 a.m. still glowing and beautiful!
Those of us still out there at that time - not so much!
