New Shoes

A few months ago we got a Crewcuts catalog in the mail and the boys became completely obsessed with the flaming & checkered Vans...  They have been continually asking to go get some of those fire shoes for the past couple months.  Noah has even had the picture of them hanging on his project board (so we don't forget about them :)  We finally made it to the Vans store today to pick up their new summer shoes!  They were so excited you would have thought it was Christmas!  Silas told the shoe guy he is faster than a race car in his and apparently Noah can run faster than fire in his :)  I have to admit they are pretty darn cute!!

Silas @ 3

I am still having a hard time believing that our little baby is 3!  Silas is about the sweetest, craziest & silliest little guy ever!  He is our social butterfly, is incredibly confident and basically has no fear of anything (except moths and ladybugs)!
He loves to snuggle but has a tough time saying the word, it always comes out duggle which is about the sweetest thing because he is always saying "duggle me Momma, duggle me all day."
Silas is really into Mario right now.  He tells everyone that his name is Mario and when I pick him up from school his name tag usually says Silas/Mario.  I have also noticed that all of his school projects just say Mario on them now days...  He got a gift card for his birthday and used it to buy himself a "duggle" Mario (a little stuffed Mario) and Duggle Mario (as he calls him) comes everywhere with us and is pretty much a fixture around here!
Silas & Duggle Mario
Silas's favorite books right now are Bogey, Alphabet Toolbox, Harriet and anything I Spy (he is amazingly good at those)!
His favorite activities include playing with Noah, golfing, playing cars/trucks/construction, watching Daddy play Mario, doing anything outside and snuggling (duggling :)
He loves going to the gym with me every day because Jack Jack is there and he can't wait to hang with his cousin!  He goes to Mom's Morning Out every Monday, Kindergym on Fridays and swim class on Saturdays, busy kid!  We just found out that Silas and Jack Jack are going to be in the same class next year and Silas is beside himself with excitement!  He is so ready to start school and will be doing lots of summer camps/school this summer!
He went to his three year checkup like a champ, no tears!  He sat up on the table like a big kid, I never had to hold him down or anything, very cool!  He insisted on calling Dr. Nash "Nashy" the whole time we were there which was pretty hilarious, not sure where he came up with that one...  He weighed in at a whopping 34.3 lbs (75% which shocks me given how skinny he is) and 3 fee 4.25 inches tall (95%) and is an all around healthy and happy little dude!
Happy #3 Baby Sweets, we love you!!!!

Best Pals

Just have to post this picture of Noah and his best pal Aiden at a pirate party yesterday (love the hats)!  These two are seriously inseparable and pretty darn cute too :)

The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

When we started talking about Silas's birthday months ago we decided that we weren't going to do anything crazy this year.  I figured that he'll start expecting parties soon enough and we might as well take it easy...  Not so much!  About two months before his birthday Silas started talking about his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party and how awesome it was going to be, hmmmmm!  I could not disappoint :)  I immediately got on  Pinterest and started gathering ideas for all things Mickey Mouse and decided to have a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse play date/party for our little dude!  I actually made almost all the decorations and food myself with a little help from the boys! Unfortunately I didn't get pics of everything but I have got to say the house looked pretty cool and they boys were beside themselves with excitement for the big party!
The Clubhouse invites!!
The front door sign!
Yes, I made all new Mickey Mouse themed pictures for the day...
A little overboard - probably :)
Can't forget the treat bags!
And the cute tags we made for them!
Everything had some kind of Mickey Mouse label & name :)

The present frenzy!
Having the party on a Tuesday (his actual
birthday)  I figured a few friends would be able to make it but
everyone we invited was able to come and we ended up
having 14 kids here, CRAZINESS!!!!!!
I love the look on Noah's face in this one!
So big!!!
The poor little guy leaned in a little too close and burned his face
with the heat from the candles.  Luckily he had a quick
recovery and was ready to try again!
Hooray!!!
Mickey Mouse Cupcakes
The fun Mickey Mouse cookies we made!
I totally forgot to get pics of the other food but we
had Mickey Mouse shaped sandwiches & pizzas.
Figaro's Fruit, Humphrey's Honey Sticks,
Goofy's Goldfish, Pluto's Gooey Fish
& Donald's Drinks!

New Bike

Go figure, it was Silas's birthday and Noah got a new bike... (A post and pics from Silas's birthday are next :)  We had been talking about getting Noah a new bike for a couple months and decided it was finally time.  His knees were starting to hit the handlebars on his existing bike and they almost drag on the ground when he rides his Skut.  Thanks go his Skut his balance is amazing, now we just need to get the balance/pedaling thing down and the training wheels off!  He looks so big on his new big kid bike!!!
Silas knows how to pedal a bike but chooses to push his Cozy Coupe
around while running behind it.  He is not interested in doing
anything else in the cludesac, it's pretty hilarious!
Back on his Skut after a few laps on the new bike with Daddy...
Cheese!
Silas was hamming it up big time :)
I still can't believe that my Baby Sweets is 3, how did that happen so fast!

Gone Fishin

Since we seem to be stuck inside with all this rain most days I have been having fun introducing the boys to all kinds of new games!  It is nice that Silas is getting to where he can sit and pay attention long enough to actually play "real" games in addition to our random made up games...  I am especially excited for some of the old school games I have found that my brother and I used to play when we were little like Hungry Hungry Hippo, Memory and Gone Fishin (probably our most favorite)!
I love the concentration in this one!
They will play this game for hours!  Love it!!!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

These are slightly out of order but too cute not to post!  In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday Noah had a fun week of Dr. Seuss activities at school and ended the week with a "read in" which included getting to wear his pajamas to school again!  All the kids got to wear pajamas or cozy clothes, bring their favorite pillow or blanket and their most favorite book!  They spent the day snuggled up on the circle rug reading their favorite books!  Noah brought his "I Stink" book and his Lightning blanket and pillow, very big deal!
Love Silas's crazy face in this one!
That is his new dog he named Woody :)
It is crazy but he always talks about Woody even though he has been
gone for over a year now.  He even stops and talks to Woody's head
stone every time he is at my parents house, so sweet!
Goofball!

Crazy Clothes Day

The Friday before spring break was Crazy Clothes day for Noah's class!  He got the idea a few weeks in advance that he wanted to wear Daddy's clothes.  We were able to cinch up the waist on these shorts to fit him and he added his own special touches with his mismatched shoes (now a Noah trademark :) and a tie on his back!
Tie in the front -
Tie in the back -
The shoes!
Awesome!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

During the St. Patrick's Day celebration at Noah's school some naughty little leprechauns trashed their classroom, threw glitter everywhere and hid Noah's shoe!  Needless to say he was so excited about the leprechaun's and St. Patrick's Day that I had to keep the fun going!  In addition to trashing the boys bathroom they hid gold coins all over our house and threw Lucky Charms all over our kitchen.  But they did leave some seriously yummy green cookies for us all to enjoy too :)  Noah is convinced we are going to trap one next year and then turn him loose outside after telling him he can't come into our house to make messes anymore!
Those nasty little leprechauns left the biggest mess
ever in our bathroom!  They forgot to flush down
their green pee and obviously had very dirty feet :)
At least they remembered to wash their hands!
