Halloween Cupcakes

The cupcake obsession continues!!!
I put out a couple bowls of pumpkin stick decorations, candy corn and sprinkles and started frosting thinking Noah would decorate them as I went along...  I was obviously was not paying close enough attention because all of the candy and pumpkin sticks ended up on three cupcakes, yummy!!!

Cross-eyed with excitement!!

What do you mean I have to eat dinner first...

Bedtime...

We have a bit of a bedtime routine around here that seems to change night by night (if that makes sense)...  We always have pj time, tooth brushing, books, puzzles etc. but Noah is a wild card when it comes to his last hurrah of the evening before settling down.  Here are his usual options -

  1. Video games with daddy, usually racing or Mario.
  2. Football tackles - they pile all of the pretty pillows off our bed onto the middle of our bedroom floor and Noah runs with the football and then gets tackled.  He pretends that he is a 49er and that he is playing football on the TV (very cute).
  3. Hallway Runs - He and Silas run from Noah's room down the hallway and into our closet with their blankets or trucks.  This gets a little crazy and usually ends up with a lot of tackles or a bonked head along the way.
  4. Boat Rides - This is a new one, Ryan attaches a rope to one of my laundry baskets and pulls them through the dark dining room passage and around treasure island in the kitchen, very cool!
Going for a boat ride!
Racing with Daddy!

LOVE that smile!!!
A very rare treat to catch it with the camera!!

Yummy

Thanks for the super cute Halloween cards Mayme and  Boppa!  They were edible right :)

#1 Pea

Noah received this book for his first birthday and has never really given it the time of day, until now!  Little Pea is about a pea that has to eat candy for every meal because that is what peas eat but all he really wants is a big bowl of spinach for dessert, so cute!  We read little pea about 10 times a day and Noah laughs hysterically each and every time, I love it!

Go Ducks!

So I had the brilliant idea to try and get a picture or two of the boys in their super cool matching Duck jerseys this morning before I took Noah to school.  Well, I tried 27 times to be exact (ridiculous I know) and this is the best I got!
Loves his dump truck!
(possibly the best purchase ever Papa :)

Noah keeps telling me that today is  "Go Ducks Day"
like it is a holiday or something, very cute!

I almost got some smiles!!!

Fall Art

Noah's leaf man he made at school today!

I think he might win the contest :)

Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch today and totally lucked out with the weather!! We had decided we were going to go today rain or shine and ended up having a great rain free time!  We found a little place last year called Jim Dandy Farm Market off Hwy 26 and love it there!   Noah is totally in Halloween mode and has been talking about the pumpkin patch non-stop.  I am pretty sure it lived up to his expectations there were lots of pumpkins, lots of mud and even a ride on the farm truck with Jim Dandy  :)  Silas loved the pumpkins, mud and found some chickens to chase too!!  I took way too many pictures and had a hard time narrowing it down...
All ready to go!!!

So excited!!

Giving the spooky mummy a hug, such a sweet boy!

They passed Silas inspection!  I love the cool white one :)

The look on his face makes me laugh every time I look at this one!

Another good look!

Found the puddles!

Yes, Silas is sitting in the puddle and Noah is on his way down!
We had two half naked kids in the car on the way home!

Silas found his pumpkin!

Chasing the chickens!

Victoria Visit

Noah's friend Victoria came to stay for the past couple days and Noah could not have had more fun!!  We have been talking about Jason and Victoria coming up to visit for a while and Noah has been so excited for the big weekend, he even got to stay up super late Friday night waiting for them to get here (very big deal).  We took the kids to Out of this World on Saturday to get out of the house for a while as the weather did not cooperate for our big zoo plans.  The grown ups watched lots and lots of football and the kids played and played and played as Noah puts it!!
Watching out the window waiting for them
to get here!  He wore his dinosaur pajamas
because Victoria is totally into dinosaurs!

They played in the Cozy Coupes for hours!  Lots of gas station stops,
oil changes, grocery store visits etc...  The house looked like
a toy store had exploded in it!

We even had ice cream cones, a VERY big deal around here!

So cute, they wanted to do everything together!

Silas @ 18 Months

I am just wrapping my head around the fact that Noah is three and now Silas is 18 months!  Crazy to think that in just six months he will be two!!!  WOW!  Silas is my little sweet sweet, he would be perfectly happy sitting on our laps reading books and snuggling all day long if he could.  He just goes with the flow and puts up with whatever comes his way.  Usually it is his big brother coming his way to take something away from him or knock him down but that is another story...  His 18 month check-up went great, he flirted with all the nurses and greeted the doctor with a big "hi" when he came into the room!  He also had his first dentist appointment today and was a total rock star, his teeth look great and there were no tears!!

Height - 2' 11.5" (99%)
Weight - 25 lb 8 oz (45%)

Silas does not seem to like his picture taken these days, every time the camera comes out he runs and will not stop for anything.  However, I did manage to get a few pictures before his appointment yesterday!

Love that face!!!

Doing a little grocery shopping!
He loves pushing his blanket around in the cart!

Watching the birds out the window!
He is totally into animals and birds, he always notices the squirrels
and birds in the back yard and loves sitting by the windows to watch them.

They call me Mister Pumpkin...

Meet Mr. Pumpkin, he is a fixture at our house these days.  Mr. P participates in all events that happen around here including all meals, bath time (he watches from the sidelines), bedtime (he now picks what books we read), and he has even made a couple trips to the grocery store.  Mr. Pumpkin appears to be potty trained and has to use the potty chair several times a day, I am hoping this is a good sign for potty training in the near future...  He is also incredibly naughty at times and requires time outs for doing things like jumping on the couch, throwing toys, dropping food on the floor, hitting Silas etc.  Noah has turned into quite the tattle tail when it comes to Mr. Pumpkin.  He sleeps in Noah's bed and works as a pretty good night light (thankfully we have lots of rechargeable batteries :)  He also loves playing outside and often gets thrown or rolled down the driveway, luckily he is very tough (despite a few trips to Dr. Noah) and will hopefully hold out until Halloween!!

Duck Game

Ryan and I were lucky enough to score some tickets to the Oregon/Stanford game last weekend!!!  We had a great time tailgating with friends and even got to have a kid free lunch and dinner out, it was like one big all day date (very rare around here)!!!  Thanks Mayme & Boppa :)

Beautiful sunset at Autzen!

I think we have convinced ourselves we need season tickets next year...

All about me!

Noah's first preschool homework project was to make a poster that was all about him that he could share with the class.  Here is what we came up with for the project!  Noah loves gluing and doing projects so this was right up his alley!!!
