Best Toy Ever

Noah never stops amazing me with his unbelievable imagination!  He can transform any ordinary household item into a multitude of things that change daily.
One example -
The Tire Pump
It's a weed wacker...
It's a hose...

Other uses for the tire pump -

Broom
Mop
 Gas Pump
Fan
Vacuum
Blender
Lawn Mower
and
Steering Wheel

You should see what he can do with a watering can!!!

My Sweet Booga

Noah came in and asked me to take his picture the other day, here is what I got!  I still can't believe how big he is getting and that he is going to be 3 next week!!!

When the kids are away...

Ryan and I occasionally sit and wonder what we did with all our time before we had kids and for some reason we can never seem to figure it out...  With our 10 year anniversary approaching and our big vacation not happening until next year we decided to take my parents up on their offer to take both boys for the weekend!! They have been offering for a while and Noah has gone down to stay several times by himself but this was a first for Silas!  I was a little concerned because Silas is my little cling on but he did awesome and did not seem to care that he was there without us, nice!!!  The boys were so busy playing and hanging out with Nonnie, Papa and their uncles that they slept like rocks and did great all around (sigh of relief)!!
It is so strange to wake up to a quiet house and I continuously felt like I was forgetting to do something...  We ended up having a really fun activity filled weekend!  Friday night we went to the Portland Beaver game for Ryan's office party.  This is ridiculous but it was the first time Ryan and I have been to a Beaver game, it was so much fun but I guess they only have a couple more games and then they are done :(  Saturday we slept in (a very rare treat) went to a movie (The Switch) and then had a delicious dinner at Chart House.  Slept in again on Sunday (so nice :) and then headed out the the LPGA Safeway Classic at Pumpkin Ridge.  We love going to the classic but it has been a little difficult the last couple years with the kiddos so it was so nice not having to worry about our kids screaming or making a scene during a back swing and we got to hang in the beer tent together for as long as we wanted, no shifts!!!
My other big accomplishment for the weekend is that I painted Noah's room!  I have been storing all kinds of  stuff to decorate and paint his room since we moved in but wanted to wait until both kids were gone before I attempted it!  It turned out amazing, I'll try to post some pictures of it soon!  Here are a few pictures from Nonnie and Papa's!
My mom has an amazing flower garden and it is the boys' new favorite
place to play.  They would run back and fourth on the path for hours!
It looks like they are having a little conversation here, love it!

Noah always walks with his hands by his face in the garden because
he does not like it when the bigger flowers hit him in the face...
Silas does not seem to care!

Wow that went fast...

Right about now (about 8:30 a.m.) 10 years ago I was waking up on my bedroom floor with my cousin Sara and my brother Dustin!  A sleep over seemed like the best way to spend my last night at home, I had an amazing night sleep and was ready for the big day!!!  The day was filled with hair, nails, makeup, three hours of pictures (sorry Ryan) and lots of family! That was just before the ceremony...

At 6:00 p.m. my dad walked me down the isle and I married my BFF!  It was a perfect evening and I would like to assume that everyone had an amazing time too!!

Fast forward 10 years... We woke up this morning at 6:30 a.m. to Noah singing Happy Birthday on the top of his lungs in his bedroom followed by Silas screaming and jumping in his bed like a mad man.  Just a little different from those first 7 years of quiet mornings :)  However, I would not trade the 6:30 a.m. serenade for anything!!!

So here we are, two kids, four moves, three cities, law school, job changes, a dog (for two weeks :) with lots of good times and memories and so many more to come!!  Just think in 10 more years we will have two prepubescent almost teenage boys that will hopefully sleep past 6:30...

Happy Anniversary to my Sweetie Pie R.H.!!!

Little Rock Star

Silas went in  yesterday to get his stitch out and was a total rock star!  I don't know if anyone ever notices but in most pictures Silas has a horrible rash on his chin and they can't seem to figure out exactly what it is.  Eczema mixed with excessive drool  is what they keep telling me is the culprit although I am not totally convinced.  Anyway, his chin totally flared up yesterday morning so the doctor got to see it in all of its glory.  We are now trying an antibiotic cream that seems to be helping already :)  Hopefully it will heal this poor kids chin once and for all!! Fingers crossed!!!

Zoo Week

We had a fun trip to the zoo on Wednesday with Sara and Atreus and little did I know that Noah was having zoo week at school too!  We have been to the zoo so much this summer he is getting to be quite the little tour guide and seems to know where everything is and just wants to go to his favorite animals and exhibits!  We did check out the dinosaurs for the first time while we were there (of course I forgot my camera) and now Noah is totally into dinosaurs too!  I was a little worried that it would scare him but he LOVED it, and thought it was hilarious when I got sprayed in the face by a spitting dinosaur, really funny guys...
Tiger Stripes

I love this one, it is a stamp of his foot!  For the past week Noah has been
pretending like he is painting the bottoms of  my feet and kept
telling me to stomp my foot and make a penguin, I have been totally
confused but it all makes sense now :)

Cool Hair Cut

Noah went in to get his hair cut the other day (his idea) and he actually let Ryan spike it up yesterday because he thought Teacher Sasha would like it that way...  I think we need to get some gel or something because the hairspray does not seem to hold his hair very well.   However, the look on his face when Teacher Sasha said she loved his hair cut was priceless, our little boy is seriously in love!!

Noah's Hands

Noah loves going into the office with Daddy and I love it because every time he goes to get some "work" done with Daddy he always comes home with a new copy of his hands!  We walked to the office after dinner tonight to pick some stuff up and here is tonight's copy of Noah's hands!  (I tried to get Silas up there for a copy too but he was having non of that :)

Silas's ER Visit

Silas had his first trip to the ER for stitches yesterday :(  Poor little man fell on the back walk way and bashed his head pretty good.  He did not fall far but just happened to land perfectly on a little rock that was sticking up just enough to put a gash and gigantic knot on his forehead.  Luckily Mayme was here to stay with Noah while we rushed Silas to the hospital to get checked out (thanks Mayme)!  He did not have a concussion and ended up only needing one stitch but those head cuts sure do bleed a lot.  Silas was a rock star at the hospital, and we were very fortunate because we did not have to wait at all.  They took us right back and we were in and out in about two hours (a little different from the 7 hour adventure last year when Noah got his stitches)!
Waiting to see the doctor, he looks so scared and sad :(

Watching golf and waiting for the numbing cream to work its magic!

Silas this morning, sporting a super cool Cars bandage!

Noah's Golfing Quotes

Noah got to go golfing with Daddy again last night and these are all the funny random things he said while they were on the golf course...

"There are weeds everywhere out here, I need to go wack them!"

"Noah is a graham cracker eating machine!"

After taking a bite of his graham cracker "I think, (long pause) I think this is really crunchy!"

Upon pulling up to the green in the golf cart "I'm going to run in circles now!"
(he then ran in circles around the green as fast as he could)

He's Crafty!

In an effort to stop the 5:55 a.m. wake up calls provided by Mr. Noah I have been trying to take his naps down a notch from 3 to 2 hours...  I am missing that extra hour during the day but have been trying to find fun "big kid" stuff for Noah and I to do during this time since Silas still needs his three hours.  Today we painted a birdhouse for Noah's tree in the backyard!  He is so excited to get up from his nap to hang it up, I am hoping he can calm himself down enough to actually get a nap!

Ready for the birds!!!
Noah told me that the birds really like the color red!

Blackberries...

Silas has a new favorite and a messy one at that!!  He is obsessed with blackberries right now and thanks to our neighbors lack of interest in taking care of their backyard we seem to have an endless supply coming over our fence...

Pine Cone Art

Noah made this one by rolling a pine cone around in paint!
Teacher Sasha is very crafty and I am pretty sure
Noah is in love with her...

Golf Trip

Noah is always pretending like he is going on golf trips or to the golf course like Daddy, so last night Ryan decided to take Noah for a real golf trip!  They went out to The Reserve for a late evening round of golf.  They could not have had more fun, Noah did great the entire time, never complaining once (he did not even touch the arsenal of snacks Ryan brought)!!!!  Noah hit his ball off each tee, then he would run over and pick it up to ride in the cart to the green.  When they got to each green he would hop out, pull the flag out of the hole, place his ball right next to the hole and putt it in!  He is very proud of his golfing skills and has been talking non-stop about his big golf trip with Daddy!

Ocean Week

Noah had Ocean Week a couple weeks ago at school, here are a few of his fun fishy projects!  He is so proud of anything he makes and loves to have them hanging on the fridge!
