Hot Wheels

The car obsession continues... I don't know if anyone has noticed a recurring outfit in all of the pictures but the Hot Wheel T-shirt is a hot commodity around here! Noah is completely fixated on this shirt and has had a few major melt downs when it is in the dirty clothes... The Hot Wheels go everywhere with us and are parked in random "houses" around our house. I love his wild imagination with the cars, we play cars on his blankets every night before he goes to bed. Dustin and I used to do this with our blankets when we were little! There are all kinds of tunnels, houses, caves and roads in the bumpy blankets! Love it!!!

Chompers & Snot Bubbles

Silas now has 7 teeth and they all look so big in his little mouth, even though they are not all the way in yet. We have all been sick again and Silas has his first ear infection. He started antibiotics yesterday so hopefully he will be feeling better soon. You can tell in these pics that he does not feel good, he has those sad puppy dog eyes :( Noah just has lots of snot but he has been such a big boy about it this time. When his snot starts running into his mouth he will come find me and ask for a big boy nose wipe! Now we just need to teach him how to blow his nose...

I can do it myself! You can totally tell he does not feel good here...

Noah happy after a snot wipe! So much better than the screaming snot fights we had last time they were sick!

Pudding Stash

I just had to post these pics of Noah and his pudding mustache! He is always asking for pudding but never seems to eat very much once I give it to him. He just manages to make a huge mess and get it all over his face! Good for funny pictures, bad for the floor!

Love those eyes!

Pulling Up!

So now Silas has decided that crawling is not enough and he needs to stand too! He is pulling up on everything and it has made for some serious crashes but I guess that is how they learn! He is starting to walk around things a little bit and can go back and fourth between the couch and ottoman. The only problem is that once he stands he is afraid to go back to a sitting position. He will stand forever because he does not want to fall or sit down. I timed it the other night and he lasted 35 minutes before he started fussing and finally fell over. Most of his crashes are on the hardwood (of course) but he seems to be pretty tough and only cries for a few then he is back at it. He chases Noah everywhere and is into everything, I forgot how much of a challenge it is having a little one crawling around!

Here is the first time I saw him pull up! He has pulled this table down on top of himself multiple times! Probably should put it away for a while...

So proud of himself!

Silas in the Cozy Coupe

The last 20 seconds are hilarious!

Busy Boys

My days are going to get a lot more hectic! Silas is crawling all over the place. Chasing Noah, pulling up on all the furniture and into everything! It is amazing how fast it happened. I have been slowly working on getting the house baby proofed again but need to work on it a little faster now!
Silas is also clapping, waving and says dada now! He finally got his two front teeth too! It has been a big week for him!
Noah is just as busy as ever! He has been getting super hyper around bedtime lately and bounces off the walls right up until we turn off the lights. He runs like a crazy man, smashing into walls, rolling on the ground and jumping off of everything...
So Noah has never said "yes" he would always say "OK" instead. Well now instead of saying yes he says "OK Mister" or "OK Mister Noah" it is absolutely hilarious. I am guessing he picked this up at Dr Nash's office because he always calls him Mister there, who knows!

Noah actually sharing his "boat" and water with Silas!

Silas trying to keep up!

Pulling up on the table, Noah looks concerned (or annoyed)

Cool Shades...

These are the glasses that Ryan and I got when we went to see the 3D Christmas Carol movie back in December. They are a total hit with both boys, I was trying really hard to get a picture of them together with the glasses on but these will have to do. Noah has actually worn them through the grocery store and Target several times, Silas just likes to carry his pair around to chew on!

Noah's Favorite Things

I posted about Noah's favorite things a long long time ago and figured it is time for an update!

Noah is OBSESSED with cars and trucks right now! He loves the movie, the toys, the books, cars on the road, basically all cars in general! We play cars all day long these days. They go everywhere with us and sleep in his bed at night. There is not really a specific car that he is attached to. He loves Matchbox cars, WOW cars, his Fisher Price buses, trucks etc... He has two road mats, one downstairs and one upstairs and spends most of his days playing cars. They park in "garages" under everything and so I find cars all over the house all day long "parked" in some funny places! Love that imagination!

He is also into doing dangerous things like jumping off furniture and on his big blocks. He tells me he is going to do dangerous before he does it. He has also started telling on himself when he is going to be naughty or is doing something naughty. Got to love that honesty!

His favorite books right now are My World, Zoom City and The Itsy Bitsy Spider! I try to read new books to him every night but he wants no part of it.

Noah also loves coloring and play dough! He has been busy making cards and LOVES stickers! He asks to play play dough all day long but he never really plays for more than a couple minutes at a time then it gets all hard on the counter so we go through a lot of it (thanks for the easy recipe mom)!

Santa brought him a gas pump for Christmas which he loves but he does still have lots of other gas pumps; my watering cans, the coffee press and his golf clubs among many other things. The coffee press is a hot toy, not only is it a gas can and coffee maker but a blender, flashlight and camera! The golf clubs double as cranes, telephones and baseball bats. It is always amazing to hear what he is going to come up with next!

Getting ready to be dangerous!

He still loves hanging in the baby seats, bouncer, exersaucer etc...
(yes, his hair is still totally crooked, I have not taken him
back to get it fixed yet)

Riding in his "boat"

Thanks for the Mitertatoted Uncle Jordan!

Duck Love!

Silas @ 9 Months!

It is hard to believe that in just three months Silas is going to be one! How did that happen??? My goal for this year is to do a better job using this blog to keep track of everything. Hopefully it will be a good tool to look back at when I actually have time to scrapbook someday!

So, Silas is now nine months old...

At his doctor on the 5th he was 31.5" tall (99%), weighed 20 lb 8oz (50%) and his head is in the 91%. Everything went great at his appointment until the doctor could not see into his left ear as usual. They have let it slide at his last few appointments but decided he should probably get a look which meant flushing the massive amount of earwax out of his ear. I don't know what is with our kids and their earwax but it is an unstoppable force! It took almost 20 minutes of the poor nurse spraying water into his ear before they were able to see in. Silas was a wreck and after about 10 minutes Noah started in with the sympathy tears. I was so soaked that they offered me a set of scrubs to wear home. Luckily he did not have to have any shots so that made up for it! We all survived, Silas crashed as soon as we got in the car, I bought myself a latte and then took Noah to check out the cranes and tractors at the new hospital construction site. It ended good for all!

Silas now has four teeth! I am thinking he should have asked Santa for his two front teeth for Christmas because he has his two middle bottom teeth and then the two on each side on the top, the front two are still MIA! The doctor said not to worry they should be there soon.

Silas is starting to eat mostly solid foods and can feed himself which is SO nice when I am trying to get dinner done in the evenings! His favorite finger foods right now are avocados, bananas, cheese and rice puffs/Cheerios! He is also a big fan of the Mum Mums! I have to buy double of all the baby snacks because Noah has to have his share too.

Silas is now a traveling man! He had been getting around by hopping on his butt all over the place but has started crawling/scooting/rolling everywhere. He can get from his tummy to a sitting position and is into everything now! Noah is not going to like it when he gets really good at this crawling stuff... He loves playing with anything that is Noah's and loves to hang in Noah's room! He basically lights up anytime he sees his big brother and that is pretty darn cute!

Gotta love the puke down his sleeve...
