Silas @ 9 Months!

It is hard to believe that in just three months Silas is going to be one! How did that happen??? My goal for this year is to do a better job using this blog to keep track of everything. Hopefully it will be a good tool to look back at when I actually have time to scrapbook someday!

So, Silas is now nine months old...

At his doctor on the 5th he was 31.5" tall (99%), weighed 20 lb 8oz (50%) and his head is in the 91%. Everything went great at his appointment until the doctor could not see into his left ear as usual. They have let it slide at his last few appointments but decided he should probably get a look which meant flushing the massive amount of earwax out of his ear. I don't know what is with our kids and their earwax but it is an unstoppable force! It took almost 20 minutes of the poor nurse spraying water into his ear before they were able to see in. Silas was a wreck and after about 10 minutes Noah started in with the sympathy tears. I was so soaked that they offered me a set of scrubs to wear home. Luckily he did not have to have any shots so that made up for it! We all survived, Silas crashed as soon as we got in the car, I bought myself a latte and then took Noah to check out the cranes and tractors at the new hospital construction site. It ended good for all!

Silas now has four teeth! I am thinking he should have asked Santa for his two front teeth for Christmas because he has his two middle bottom teeth and then the two on each side on the top, the front two are still MIA! The doctor said not to worry they should be there soon.

Silas is starting to eat mostly solid foods and can feed himself which is SO nice when I am trying to get dinner done in the evenings! His favorite finger foods right now are avocados, bananas, cheese and rice puffs/Cheerios! He is also a big fan of the Mum Mums! I have to buy double of all the baby snacks because Noah has to have his share too.

Silas is now a traveling man! He had been getting around by hopping on his butt all over the place but has started crawling/scooting/rolling everywhere. He can get from his tummy to a sitting position and is into everything now! Noah is not going to like it when he gets really good at this crawling stuff... He loves playing with anything that is Noah's and loves to hang in Noah's room! He basically lights up anytime he sees his big brother and that is pretty darn cute!

Gotta love the puke down his sleeve...
