Christmas 2012

We were not good with pictures this year on Christmas... Ryan and I were both sick and feeling pretty horrible :(  We did, however, have an awesome relaxing day with the boys. We built like 10 Lego sets, watched about that many Christmas movies, and had a delicious pre-made Christmas dinner from Whole Foods (easy-peasy as Noah would say)!!
Getting our cookies and milk for Santa!  We had super cute
sugar cookies but Noah decided that Santa just wanted plain
old chocolate chip cookies this year!
Ready for bed!
I gave up on getting them cute Christmas pajamas and
went for something I knew they would wear...
Santa made it!
They wanted these giant stuffed snakes from the
zoo so bad, it is the one thing they both
consistently said they wanted for Christmas!
They both named their snakes Icky...
The stocking mess!
Lots of Legos this year!
They spent the afternoon having scooter races in the entry!
They have all their snuggles piled up there to cheer for them :)

Zoo Lights

After all these years we finally made it to zoo lights with the boys!!  Ryan and I went once before Noah was born and we haven't been since...  We really lucked out with our timing (aka - went on a cold rainy night) and only had to wait about five minutes for a train!  The boys were so excited about all of it and I have to say it is pretty amazing (even in the freezing cold rain)!  I can't wait to go again next year!!!!
Ready for our train ride!
A giant mural of lights!!!

Halloween 2012

Every year on Halloween I make a huge pot of chili and we invite friends or family over to eat, drink and trick or treat!  This year Misty, Jerromy and Jack came over for dinner and treats.  The kids chose to bounce off the walls instead of eating their dinner and as soon as it got dark we hit the streets!
Who's excited?!?!?!?!
Candy time!
Our awesome neighbor Tawni brought the boys each over
a flashlight and giant treat bags earlier in the day so they were
armed and already hopped up on some candy and treats :)
Noah in Daddy's spooky light up
 glasses from his costume.
The whole head piece from Ryan's
costume, apparently he made
a few kids cry...
Me and my Booga!
We totally forgot to get a family picture of us
all dressed up.  I was a pirate and Ryan had his creeper outfit!

Halloween Photo Shoot

So the boys both had Halloween parties in their classes at school this year and since Halloween was on a Wednesday and Silas does not have school those days he got to dress up two days in a row.  Tuesday for his party and Wednesday for Halloween.  Not that they hadn't been wearing their costumes constantly in the weeks leading up to Halloween :)  I know there are a ton of pictures here but it is so rare that I get them both to sit down and make nice faces for pictures (at the same time)!  And with all these pictures you can almost hear the giggles!!!!
Jake is ready for school!
I love it when they crack each other up!
Silas and Jack in their classroom!
Noah the pirate all ready for school
on Halloween!
Big smiles, two days in a row!!!!

Carving Pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins just a few days before Halloween this year and the boys totally got into it.  In previous years it has been mostly Ryan and I handling the messy stuff but they decided to really dig in this time!
This shocked us!!!  Noah is usually very cautious about slimy stuff...
Drawing the face he wanted us to carve.
Silas's pumpkin face!
Pumpkin kisses!
The face Silas ended up drawing!
The finished pumpkins, the witch was Daddy's!

Trick-or-Treatathon

Here are a few pics of the boys at the Trick-or-Treatathon out at The Reserve.   They got to dress in their costumes to run their 1k and thought it was pretty awesome that the announcer was cheering for them AND they got a huge bag of Halloween candy when they were done!   It was pouring down rain and we were a soaking mess by the time we left but the boys had such a fun time I am sure we'll do it again next year :)

Pumpkin Patch

A few pics from our annual trip out to Jim Dandy's!  Ryan got off work early one evening and we ran out there in between rain storms before it got dark :)

Apparently they really had to go
after our 25 minute drive there...
Classy as always :)
It might be a little heavy...
Oops, I dropped it!!!
Cheese!
Our little muscle man!
Teamwork!
My boys!
Pumpkin and honey stick hat!
The ladies at the farm always give the boys each a little
pumpkin and we always get them a fresh
honey stick, love Jim Dandy's!!!
