Noah is all ready for football season although he has a bit of a wait! He got this outfit from Santa and had to wear it the other day. It is still pretty big on him but it did not stop him from rocking some touchdown poses for us!

Happy Valentines Day (a little late)
The boys had a car themed Valentines Day this year! Noah got four new Cars and is all about Doc Hudson and Wingo right now! We got Silas his own little set of cars too! I felt super special because Silas and I got invited to go to Starbucks with Noah and Ryan. It is their Sunday morning tradition and it was a pretty big deal for them to invite us!
The boys got me the biggest Hershey Kiss I have ever seen, I feel like a little rabbit munching away at it :) They also made me a mommy slide show with pictures from the year! It is amazing to see how much they change over a year! Super special! I tried uploading it but can't seem to get it to work...

Day in the Kitchen
Noah and I had a big day in the kitchen yesterday. We started in the morning making cinnamon muffins for breakfast then started dinner (I used my new dutch oven to make some delicious oven minestrone soup) and we ended with cupcakes. Noah helped with everything! He loves to dump things into the mixer and to stir anything I put in front of him. He was in charge of the sprinkles on the cupcakes until he discovered that he liked to eat them more then put them on the cupcakes. I had to put the bowl of sprinkles away so he would stop shoving them in his mouth by the fist full. I turned around for seriously 30 seconds to hide the sprinkles and when I came back he was shoving an entire cupcake in his mouth as fast as he could... Busted with a half eaten cupcake and no more sprinkles to devour he dissolved into a major melt down and I had to finish the cupcakes by myself after he found something else to do. Oh well, it took a lot of effort for me not to shove one in my mouth too so I can't blame the poor kid!
Noah's New Hair
Noah went in for his third big boy haircut on Tuesday. We made it through with no tears or screaming this time!!! Such a big boy now! We talked it up pretty good before we went and he was super pumped to sit in the taxi, however when we got there he made a quick decision to go with the fire truck instead. This haircut is so much better than the last one. Noah asked both yesterday and today if he could go get "new hair again" I think he really just wants to go sit in the fancy car chairs!

New Yard - Part 1 Completed
Here are a couple pics of the yard after they worked on it Monday. There are some serious sprinkler issues that they still have to fix before the sod can go in. It does not look too different in the pictures, they took out 6 or 7 trees/bushes from the yard and dug some big holes to work on the sprinklers. It is amazing how much more grass we can put in with the trees and bushes gone. We did loose some serious privacy for right now but the new bushes and trees will be in soon. Can't wait to see the finished project!!!
Playing around!
Here are a few pictures of the boys playing around the house! We have been enjoying this nice weather outside the past few days but I totally forgot to take my camera out so they are all from inside. Oh well, hopefully we will get some nice weather again soon for some outdoor photos & play time (naps and bed time seem to go much better when Noah has worn himself out running around outside)!!
Gotta love that they have food or snot on their faces in every picture :)

Coming soon - New Yard
Our new back yard project starts today!!! It is going to be a two part project but I thought I would post some before pictures since the landscape guys are going to be here soon! The previous owner of our house let the yard go for years and then stopped watering it as soon as we bought it. It was during the heat wave last summer when it was over 100 for over a week and the yard was fried beyond repair.
These pictures are after we had a complete yard clean up a couple months ago. It was really bad when we moved in. The next door neighbor said it had been at least 5 years since the bushes or trees or anything had been trimmed!

Oh Bob we have missed you!!
The weather has finally been cooperating for us to get out for some walks/runs over the past few days! I have to admit the stroller feels like it weighs 500 pounds. The last time I was consistently using it Silas was just a couple months old and weighed about 12 pounds. I am pretty sure Noah has gained a few too. Add that to all the hills in our new neighborhood and it makes a pretty good work out! I am feeling it today for sure!
*BONUS - Silas is finally happy in the stroller!! Give him a toy, snack and cup of milk and he is good to go! Hooray!!!

Silas @ 10 Months
Silas is 10 months old today! It seems like just a couple days ago I was posting about him being 9 months, it is almost time to go into birthday party planning mode :)
He is walking around all of the furniture now, chasing Noah everywhere and into everything! He is super tough, falling down and whacking his head constantly does not seem to phase him. He now has to wear mostly 12-18 month clothes because he is so tall. When he was at the doctor last week he weighed 22 lb 14 oz, super tall and skinny!

Living Room
A few people have asked to see some pictures of the new house. Most of the house is a bit of a work in progress... I should not say that, everything is perfectly fine and livable, a lot of it just looks like it did in 1985 when the house was built! Here are a couple pics of the living room. We just finished painting it. LOVE this room!!! We painted the walls Sea Foam Green and decided to leave the wood molding as it is. The oak is actually growing on us!
Big changes around here!
We are making some big changes around here in our routines... Silas has decided he does not want to nurse anymore. He has never taken a bottle so he is learning how to drink from a cup really fast and it has been a bit of a challenge! We have also decided that he needs to start sleeping through the night so we are really working hard on that one too! The poor little guy has a lot going on but has been plugging along like a champ! We have also mandated a 6:00 family dinner time every night. We'll see how long this lasts but we really want Noah to start eating what we eat and it seems like having a set dinner time is going to be a huge help with that (keeping my fingers crossed anyway)! I have been trying to cook more healthy dinners and have made it my goal to try at least one new recipe per week, last nights new recipe was Citrus Garlic Shrimp and it was delicious! We could not get Noah to try the shrimp but he did eat an entire peanut butter/honey sandwich and lots of carrots so I'll take that for now!
