Apple Farm

Noah had his first field trip of the year today at Oregon Heritage Farms.  We totally lucked out with the weather and had a blast at the apple farm!  We started the morning off with a hay ride (Noah's favorite part of the day), headed over to the hay maze, then on to sample some fresh cider and try some of the many types of apples.  After filling up with juice Noah headed into the apparently famous "jumping apple" for some serious hop time (poor Silas is scared to death of bounce houses)!  We finished the morning by picking the perfect pumpkins, driving the tractor, picking out a few apples, some fresh corn, cider and a beautiful bouquet for momma!  Great morning all around!!
Ready for the hay ride!!!
Seriously excited!!

In the hay maze!
Silas actually did get lost in it and I had to send
Noah in to lead him out!
"Mom, there is juice in there!"
They gave the kids the cutest little apple jugs
full of cider!
Heading into the Jumping Apple!
I peeked in a couple times and it looked seriously
nuts.  Every few minutes a kid would come out
screaming, luckily we made it out with no injuries...
Ready to find the perfect pumpkin!
"This one is just my size!!"
Waiting patiently for his turn to drive the tractor.
He is honking at me...
Tried so hard to get both boys in front of the wagon, Silas
was way too busy stomping in puddles at this point :)
He ate this entire apple by the time we got home!
He is just getting started here but when he was finished
he actually ate all the seeds and core, all that was
left was a tiny chunk with them stem...
(not sure if that is good or not)
They each picked a Halloween lollipop in the store!
I tried to get a picture of the cute lollipop felt "costumes" but
they both had them unwrapped and in their mouths before I
could get my camera out.  Silas alternated his lollipop and apple!
My beautiful flowers the boys picked!

What an awesome and memorable day! Apples, cider, tractors, pumpkins, lollipops and more. It sounds like a perfect fall day.
